The mommy makeover is a combined procedure — typically tummy tuck, breast surgery (lift, augmentation, or both) and often liposuction — designed to restore the body after pregnancy and breastfeeding. The name is marketing; the operation itself is serious plastic surgery that corrects the specific changes motherhood leaves on a woman's body.
The benefit of combining multiple procedures in a single operation is concrete: one general anaesthesia, one recovery, one trip instead of two or three. In terms of time away from the family, the difference is real.
You are a suitable candidate if your family is complete (a future pregnancy would undo the abdominal wall repair), your weight has been stable for at least six months (ideally within fifteen per cent of your pre-pregnancy weight), you finished breastfeeding at least six months ago, you are in good general health and a non-smoker at the time of surgery, and you have realistic expectations about recovery — combining procedures means combining their recovery times.
Repairs the separated rectus muscles (diastasis recti) and removes loose abdominal skin. This is normally the centrepiece. Diastasis after one or more pregnancies is the reason many mothers cannot get a flat abdomen despite diet and pilates — it's not a fat issue, it's a muscle-separation issue that diet and exercise alone cannot close.
Corrects post-breastfeeding ptosis (sagging) and loss of volume. The specific operation depends on what your breasts present: sagging only → lift; volume lost → augmentation; both → lift with implants (the most common scenario after two or three pregnancies).
Adds contouring of the flanks, upper abdomen and back. Frequently performed as Lipo 360 in the same session, for a complete silhouette rather than a piecemeal result.
BBL (if fat transfer is indicated), facelift for more mature patients, arm lift or thigh lift if significant laxity is present. These decisions are made case by case at consultation, not included "by default".
General anaesthesia, duration four to six hours depending on the components included. Two nights in hospital is standard. Every component is performed to the same standard as it would be performed alone — no shortcut is taken because the procedures are combined. The operation takes place in a JCI-accredited hospital with a dedicated anaesthesiologist present throughout.
This is the most demanding phase of recovery. You maintain a slightly forward-bent posture to protect the abdominal muscle repair. Compression garment continuously. Real help at home is essential — this is not the moment to "manage the kids alone". Partner, parent, or paid help needs to cover lifting your children, preparing meals, and food shopping.
Progressive return to activity. Most patients return to light desk work between weeks two and three. For children: no lifting of children under 5kg for the first four to six weeks, no intense physical activity. With older children, cuddles and reading on the sofa are fine — picking them up isn't.
Final shape. Scars continue to mature for twelve to eighteen months, fading to fine lines.
Combining multiple procedures increases absolute complication risk per session compared to any of the operations performed alone. This is an honest trade-off: you save time, money and total recovery, but the single session is more demanding. Your surgeon will tell you honestly whether your specific case is better served by combining everything or staging in two sessions — there are situations where doing the tummy tuck first and breast surgery six months later is worth it, and we'll say so.
Post-pregnancy body contouring is daily bread here. Our surgeons perform full mommy makeovers every week — the coordination between body surgeon, breast surgeon and anaesthesiologist is repeated and tested, not improvised. JCI-accredited hospitals, international-grade suture materials and implants (Motiva, Mentor, Allergan), anaesthesia teams experienced in 5–6 hour sessions.
**Dr. Akın İnalöz** is our lead surgeon for post-pregnancy contouring and personally reviews every case. **Dr. Mustafa Ekrem Güleş** approves every patient clinically before surgery.
On mommy makeover, the rock-bottom price is paid physically. A clinic offering a full mommy makeover at €3,500 is cutting where it cannot: unbranded implants (or branded but from an old discontinued line), a shortened operating session that doesn't permit a proper diastasis closure or correct breast positioning, anaesthesiologist billed by the hour rather than dedicated for a six-hour operation, no follow-up once you return home.
What you pay for with us is verifiable: implants with traceable lot numbers, JCI-accredited hospital, dedicated anaesthesiologist, compression garment included, lymphatic drainage included in the package, follow-up at 3, 6 and 12 months via WhatsApp in English. On the body of a mother who has waited years for this surgery, those differences show up as well-closed scars, a diastasis closed right the first time, and breasts that don't sag again six months later.
Compared to the other end of the market — US mommy makeover at $20–35K, Beverly Hills or Manhattan at $35–60K, UK private at £15–25K, Australia at AU$25–40K — you are not giving up standards. You are paying the difference between Turkish operating costs and Western ones, on the same implants and the same grade of hospital.
Our team replies in English on WhatsApp, phone and email. From the first quote to the six-month check-up, you always speak to someone who understands your language. Questions about when you can pick up your kids again, sleep posture, when to restart sport — they come up often in the first weeks. We want you to have immediate English answers when you need them.
