What changes between DHI and FUE

Both techniques extract individual follicular units. The difference is in the implantation phase. In classic FUE, the surgeon first creates recipient channels with a blade, then inserts grafts into those channels. In DHI, the Choi Pen loads the follicle and implants it directly into the scalp in a single pass. This means:

• No separate channel-opening stage — less total time with the scalp "open".
• Follicles spend less time outside the body, which improves survival rate.
• Angle, depth and direction of every graft are controlled simultaneously.
• Higher implantation density is possible in a smaller area.
• Less bleeding and faster scab shedding post-operatively.
