Eyebrow Lift

A brow lift — forehead lift — repositions the eyebrows and smooths the forehead to restore a younger, more open appearance. It is often combined with upper blepharoplasty because the two structures work together to create the upper-face impression.

Who is a good candidate?

• Low-set or descending eyebrows that make the upper eyelid look heavier than it actually is.
• Deep forehead horizontal lines or vertical frown lines.
• "Hooded" upper eyelids that are partly caused by brow descent.

Techniques

Endoscopic brow lift

Our preferred technique for most cases. Small incisions hidden in the hairline; the brow is released and repositioned with minimal scarring.

Direct / temporal brow lift

Small incisions just above the lateral brow for patients with specific lateral brow descent. Fast recovery, limited scope.

Coronal brow lift

Traditional incision across the top of the head. Rarely used today — replaced by endoscopic techniques for most patients.

The procedure

General anaesthesia with light sedation, one to two hours. Usually day-case surgery.

Recovery timeline

First 2 weeks

Mild to moderate swelling, minimal bruising with endoscopic technique. Sutures removed around day seven. Numbness across the scalp is normal and temporary.

Weeks 2–6

Back to normal appearance. Sensation returning progressively.

Months 3–12

Final result. Scars hidden in the hairline.
