• Butt implants use solid silicone prostheses. No donor fat needed. Volume is permanent and predictable. Ideal for slim patients with limited fat stores.

The Implant Procedure

Our surgeons use the intramuscular placement technique, positioning the implant within the gluteus maximus muscle for the most natural look and feel. The procedure takes 2 to 3 hours under general anaesthesia.

• A single incision is made in the intergluteal crease (between the buttocks), hidden by natural anatomy
• A pocket is created within the gluteal muscle
• A solid cohesive silicone implant (typically 300 to 450 cc) is placed and positioned for symmetry
• The incision is closed in layers with absorbable sutures
• Compression garment is applied immediately

Recovery: The Sitting Protocol

Recovery from butt implants requires more discipline than most procedures because of the sitting restrictions:

• Weeks 1 to 2: No sitting directly on your buttocks. Use a donut cushion or lie on your stomach. Sleep face-down or on your side.
• Weeks 2 to 4: Gradual introduction of sitting with a cushion. Light walking is encouraged.
• Weeks 4 to 6: Resume normal sitting. Begin gentle exercise. Compression garment worn during the day.
• Month 3+: Full activity including gym. Implants have settled into final position.

Results and Longevity

Butt implants provide permanent volume and projection. Unlike fat transfer, there is no reabsorption. The implants do not deflate, rupture, or need replacement under normal circumstances. Most patients enjoy their results for life.
